From now on, with every delivery you can choose a ProtoMemo with: 1️⃣ PreCheck -- Basic DFM analysis (track/trace, vias capped, via-in-pad) 2️⃣ PostCheck -- Evaluation of the PCBA's manufacturability, both generic and specific (e.g. tombstoning = tilting of small components) 3️⃣ EMS advice -- Improvement points to increase yield
We're going even further.
Engineers receive real-life feedback from us about the manufacturability of their ProtoPCBA. For this, we test different variants of footprints and apertures, based on: * the manufacturer's datasheet * IPC-7351 guidelines * our own practical experience with thousands of ProtoPCBA's
Test PCBA's and evaluation. We build test PCBA's on which we evaluate these variants for: * Placement tolerance (capillary action of solder) * Absence of shorts and opens * Vertical alignment (including SMT connectors) * Mechanical fastening
Where useful, we apply improved footprints and apertures directly to ongoing and new projects.
