Second source for PCBs: why not, actually?

Second source: obvious for components, not for PCBs.

In electronics, it's perfectly normal: almost every component has a second source or supplier. This gives flexibility, security and prevents delays in your supply chain.

But for PCBs, things are different. A second source is often not standard practice, even though the PCB lead time is often the determining factor for the total project turnaround time.

At DeltaProto B.V., we have therefore made a deliberate choice: -> In consultation, we structurally source PCBs from two different suppliers.

The result? -> More supply security -> Faster and more predictable lead times -> Less dependence on a single link in the chain

Speed and reliability are not a luxury -- they make the difference between waiting and continuing development.
