Extreme Board Sizes: the Challenge of Large-Scale Assembly

Big, bigger, biggest: the challenge of extreme board sizes.
Years ago, we faced a challenge: a 455x460mm board that just didn't fit in our VaporPhase oven and HybridPlacer. The solution? Build a custom VaporPhase and modify the HybridPlacer, including an extension arm. That was already quite a job back then.
But now the largest ProtoPCBA we've ever been asked to make awaits us: 900x450mm. That's a whole different ballgame. Both SMT and THT placement and soldering require creativity and improvisation.
But that's exactly what makes our work so fun.
